JEWELRY CARE INSTRUCTIONS / TIPS

ONE OF A KIND JEWELRY
Clay is a very durable material, but like everything in life needs to be handle with love and care!
Store them in a safe place!
Please remove all jewellery before showering or swimming and avoid all contact with make up, sprays or perfumes.
Do NOT just throw your jewelry unprotected into your bag or purse, they could scratch or break.
Even if we take care of our jewelry, all the Brass-Goldplated pieces might tarnish with the time, and there is nothing we can do to avoid that, but you can clean them with and i´ll give you some ways to do that!

HOW TO CLEAN MY BRASS PIECES WHEN THEY TARNISH?
The reason for the tarnish is that brass is an alloy of copper and zinc, which will naturally tarnish when exposed to oxygen. Oils from your skin in addition to oxygen in the air accelerate tarnishing on your brass jewelry. This is completly normal, but there is an eeeeasy way to clean it and make it look like new again!
OPTION 1

KETCHUP
Ketchup isn’t only good for hamburgers!, In fact, use your fingers or a soft toothbrush to gently rub the sauce across the item. Once it is completely covered, let your jewelry sit for a few minutes. Rinse off all residue of the sauce, if the piece doesn’t look as clean as you would like it to, go ahead and try the process a second time. Once it has reached your desired cleanliness level, rinse and dry well.
OPTION 2
VINEGAR, SALT, AND FLOUR
Combine 1 teaspoon of salt into ½ cup of vinegar. Then add flour until the mixture becomes a paste-like substance.
Rub into the brass and leave for around 10 minutes. Once the 10 minutes are up, rinse the brass with warm water and dry thoroughly

***Please note that this will only work with BRASS pieces, in Estudio Koa we DO NOT use brass for the stud parts, we only use brass for deco pieces and pendants!
If you have an Estudio Koa Jewelry piece that has a gold piece as a pin DO NOT USE THIS CLEANING METHOD because they´re not made of brass, and this will ruin the piece.
